The garden at 5/6 Grange Road is one of the most noted private gardens in Lewes, and what you see today was laid out in the 1930s by the Martin sisters. Winifred and Olive purchased two parts in 1925, and in 1937 the eastern part was purchased for two hundred pounds, and the western section behind no.10 and no.14 for fifty pounds. This area was originally part of the orchard of Southover Grange, and was sold by Charles Wyndham of Southover Grange. The garden has been part of the National Garden Scheme, raising money for charity.
